This page documents the details behind my personal rewrite/yume AU for the SMT IV games; currently this page specifically has details regarding my sona, Gelyan (but I'll eventually put more here... one day >_<). It is part self-indulgent selfshipping and part "I'm going to try to fix and mitigate and explore more facets of SMT IV, especially Apocalypse, that canon did not do." Details here are subject to change, as I continue to workshop and polish my work.

Occupation: Hunter (specializes in courier-esque requests)

Weapon: Magical Umbrella

Partner Demon: Kirby (also uses various Frosts; favors "cute" looking demons)

Background:

❥adopted child of Fujiwara and Skins; Skins found them orphaned and alone on the streets of Tokyo during a quest in the Bay Area

❥became a Hunter @ 15, due to being under Skins' care as a cadet; has been an active Hunter for the past 4 years

❥efficient at getting jobs done, but is mentally exhausted from years of seemingly repetitive work that shows no long-term results

❥ends up working alone, as other Hunters either underestimate them due to their age or steer clear of them due to their relation to Fujiwara and Skins; Fujiwara has a habit of assigning them quests directly, bypassing the Challenge Quest system.

❥has retrograde dissociative amnesia -> unable to recall memories prior to their adoption (including the death of their parents)

❥at first, they're aren't fully aware of the mechanics of the umbrella they wield (neither do they have access to its full arsenal at the beginning of the AU). Over time, they become more powerful, but there are some side effects.

Traits:

❥takes their work seriously, but there's a sheen of exhaustion in how they carry themselves

❥if off the job, they are capable of unwinding completely. however, these moments have become sparse in recent years

❥an unorthodox fighter amongst Hunters: can perform gymnastic-esque maneuvers using their umbrella (including using elemental magic to launch themselves into the air) and can work in tandem with their partner, Kirby

❥upon the introduction of the Samurai into Tokyo (SMT IV), they have a renewed vigor to perform their work, in turn making them more blunt and expressive

❥susceptible to impatience or tunnel visioning if pressured enough, but typically can keep their cool in most situations

❥hates being underestimated or looked down upon

❥whether they realize it or not, they can be quite self-sacrifical in a fight. as their powers grow, so does their desire to throw themselves into danger

❥grows curious to the events leading up to their adoption, as Fujiwara and Skins appear to keep quiet about the circumstances leading to them being orphaned (and of course, wondering why they can't remember anything from before then)
